Personal care, thorough diagnostics and specialised veterinary ophthalmology for dogs and cats.

After 4 years at the Small Animal Clinic of Leipzig University, I worked for 6 years at the Augen-Tierarztpraxis Dr. I. Allgoewer in Berlin. I then headed ophthalmology at the Anicura Tierklinik Potsdam for 2 years, and have now returned home to join the team of the Tierarztpraxis Quandt und Bracke.

Our services

Eye examination and specialist diagnostics

A complete ophthalmic examination with targeted specialist diagnostics tailored to the findings.

Cornea and ocular surface

Diagnosis and treatment of corneal injuries, ulcers, opacities and dry eye.

Eyelids, third eyelid and tear ducts

Functional corrections of the eyelids, third eyelid and tear ducts – not cosmetic surgery.

Glaucoma and the inner eye

Diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma, uveitis and other diseases of the inner eye.

Retina and vision

Investigation of sudden or gradual vision loss and diseases of the retina.

Eye surgery and breeding examinations

Surgical procedures and recognised DOK/ECVO breeding eye examinations for dogs and cats.

What happens during an eye examination?

    Listening and observing

    We go through your pet's history and watch how your animal behaves.

  2. 2

    Testing function

    Vision, pupillary light reflexes and the dazzle reflex are tested.

  3. 3

    Examining the eye in detail

    Slit lamp, intraocular pressure and further targeted diagnostics – depending on the findings.

  4. 4

    Explaining the findings clearly

    We discuss the findings and the next steps together with you.

For referring vets

Specialised diagnostics and treatment are carried out in close consultation with the referring practice. Once treatment is complete, findings, treatment plan and recommendations are sent back and the patient is referred back to their family vet.
